The Power of Music

Aha’s ‘Take on me’ always puts a smile on my face. Those first few notes of ‘Our House’ by Madness makes the corners of my mouth start to turn in an upwards direction and by the time the Sax starts to play I have a grin from ear to ear and my feet are moving. Today’s song memory came from The Spin Doctors, ‘Little Miss Can’t be Wrong’ had me thinking back to those crazy college days at The Cage in Bournemouth with Paul, Andy, Mark and Nigel. Such great memories.

(yes that’s me in the middle. 1993 with Andy and Paul)

RHCP ‘Under the Bridge’ will always send shivers down my spine. Everytime, without fail.

Phil Oakley’s ‘Electric Dreams’ brings a tear to my eye. I heard it shortly after my Golden passed away as I drove past a billboard for David Wilson Homes that had been erected along the route to my favourite dog walking spot.

What’s your magic song? INXS ‘Need you tonight’, The Beatles  ‘Hey Jude’ or maybe when those Frankie guys told you to ‘Relax’?
