It seems like people are enjoying my photos more than my ramblings. Is that because the photos are good, the writing is bad or just that people have a short attention span? Hopefully someone out there is enjoying my writing so here goes:
When BMW announced that they were making a Sports Activity Coupe I thought that they had finally lost their marbles. They were already making a Sports Utility Vehicle which seemed to defy physics and allow (us) enthusiastic drivers to chuck an offroad, mud plugging, practical vehicle around like it was a sporting sedan, so releasing a coupe version seemed crazy! Why would someone want a sporty SUV with no practical storage? Why would someone want a stylish coupe with the ability to cross fields? Both are good questions….. but then I took one look at the X6 and it made sense…. well maybe not sense but what a great looking vehicle. It manages to look stylish yet rugged. Futuristic but not sci-fi. I still love them and still want one, despite the lack of internal space, the tiny boot and the whole sillyness of the idea.
Which brings me to the car I really wanted to write about today… the McLaren EstateShooting Brake. A two seat carbon fibre sports car with good load space and a 592bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 delivering 0-60mph in around three seconds and a top speed of 205mph. Handy for getting the shopping home quickly? Maybe. Nonsensical? sure….. but take a look and tell me you don’t want one in your life (I know I do):

The BMW looks like a focus! Love the Mclaren, not sure how practical it would be for me!!!
